The Alberta Chapter of the Canada Eurasia Chamber of Commerce (CECC) – formerly CERBA – is pleased to announce that we are organizing a Canadian Trade Mission to Almaty, Kazakhstan from September 19th through to September 30th.
We note that Kazakhstan has the strongest regional economy, the most successful track record of doing business with Canadian companies in the region, and there are opportunities for Canadian businesses that did not exist a year ago.
The mission will cover TWO MAJOR TRADE SHOWS being held up in Almaty consecutively in September 2022:
- (A) Mining and Metals Central Asia (MMCA) 2022 – 20-22 September 2022 - international mining exploration & mining equipment exhibition https://mining-metals.kz/en/

- (B) Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition (KIOGE) 2022 – 28-30 September 2022 - https://kioge.kz/en/

Both shows represent the major platforms for senior level decision-makers to converge and discuss key issues and opportunities in their respective sectors, such as development of the sector, modernizations of facilities, digitization and clean technologies.
There will be a separate Program offered for the Mining and O&G sectors respectively around each trade show.
Mining participants will be offered an opportunity to meet Kaz Minerals, Kazakhmys, ERG, KazZinc, Qazgeology, Arcelor Mittal and Mining Association.
O&G participants will be offered an opportunity to meet TCO (Tengizchevroil), NCOC North Caspian Operating Company), KAZGEOLOGY, Petrocouncil of Kazakhstan, KAZENERGY, AIFC (Astana International Finance Centre) and KAZAKH INVEST.
Registrants may select to participate in either one of the Programs OR to stay for the entire period and join in both Programs.
Both of these Programs are intended to build momentum for Exhibiting in both shows with a Canada Pavilion in 2023!
